I used to really enjoy DKs novels but I find them to ramble on scene setting before getting on with a good tale. I must just be getting old.

I have read and listen to a lot by this author and I do not believe this to be his best offering by far. It is rather slow, but is entertaining when the momentum gets it going. I found it also to be a little ‘preachy’ regarding wind power etc. worth a listen if you have nothing else

This book was written with such insight and research about the history of the Indians who first inhabited the land that you wanted the lead character Veda to triumph against the greed of the multimillionaires. The mystical intrigue is what makes the story so readable and page turning. You learn so much about the main characters that you will them to triumph against evil. It is a page turner. It is not predictable or too slow. The pace is just right to hold your interest. Dean Koontz at his best.
