A bold woman, a besotted man, and a lot of suspense. Throw in a few ruffians, some worried sisters, an entire society that discredits women (for the most part), and you have the stage set for this series.

There is a sweetness to the chemistry between Luke and Cassandra, as well as a magnetism that pulls them together. Cassie is willing to tread into danger, armed only with her conviction, and, luckily, Luke isn't too far behind. The story is great fun with an enjoyable narration. I look forward to the rest of the series!

An utterly delightful book, with wonderful characters, an engaging plot, a lot of humour and intrigue, and an exciting romance. The narration (Caren Naess) is simply superb.
