About this listen

From the number one international best-selling author of Holy Island and Impostor.

After a busy year fighting crime, DCI Ryan and his team of murder detectives are enjoying a festive season of goodwill, mulled wine and, in the case of DS Phillips, a stottie cake or two - that is, until a freak snowstorm forces their car off the main road and into the remote heart of Northumberland. Their Christmas spirit is soon tested when they’re forced to find shelter inside England’s most haunted castle, where they’re the uninvited guests at a ‘Candlelit Ghost Hunt’. It’s all fun and games - until one of the guests is murdered. It seems no mortal hand could have committed the crime, so Ryan and co. must face the spectres living inside the castle walls to uncover the grisly truth, before another ghost joins their number....

Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast-paced crime whodunnit set amidst the spectacular Northumbrian landscape.

I have listened to all the books in the series. I love the narration and the stories. Just waiting for the next now. Can't wait. Thanks all.

Another great story but for 1credit/£7.99 very expensive. I am still enjoying books but feel a bit cheated

Shame about length

loved this wee story , with a cracking (girly) ending to satisfy the romantic in me . Can't wait to start the next one . Fantastic narration as always but the northern Irish accent that's ment to be west of Ireland , needs seeing to. as an Irish woman it's irritating 😆 find myself cringing when mckenzie speaks .

Great short story

Whilst a little predictable, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book. Outstanding narration, as always, bring my favourite characters to life. A sweet ending and filled with the usual humour and love. A pleasure to unwind to, after a long day!

Loved every minute!
