They came in peace. But that was last time…

As the world gears up for the first anniversary of Contact Day, Dan McCarthy’s year-long effort to stay out of the limelight collapses in an instant.

A direct call from the Messengers throws Dan into urgent action, but the fallout plants a troubling seed of doubt:

This time, maybe they didn’t come here to help....

I really wish Falconer would stop repeating things that have just happened. I'm perfectly capable of remembering something from two chapters before, and certainly don't need huge explanations of why a character is doing something when it's blatantly obvious why the character would be doing something. The thing is, I like the plots and the storyline...I like what happens....I just don't need to be told what is happening again and again in recaps.

Repetitive in parts.

Yes all wrapped up very nicely. I presume that it's over and given the way the novel concludes it probably should be.

Very entertaining overall as has been the whole series, it is perhaps a little perfect the ending feels something like the end of the original star wars, but that's not such a bad thing.

Well read with one caveat - John Cole really does not have the Northern accent it suggests in the text. He sounds something like a cross between David Essex and Danny Dyer in this reading, but that is a minor point.

As with the first two parts, once again recemmended

A good conclusion to a pleasing trilogy

A pleasant enjoyable end to the presumed trilogy but somehow never really feels like it hits its stride. No real sense of danger or peril as the story meanders along.

It's a reasonably satisfying end to the series but the previous stories were better imho.

Never quite takes off

A wonderful follow up and ending to the previous two books! I’ve been enthralled from the very start.

Yes it ends mushy but it plays into the realm dynamics of human behaviour.

If contact was ever to happen, I’d want it to happen like this!

A fantastic series

Enjoyable , and a better thought out ending than the last one, got quite attached to the Characters , who were brought to life by the narrator very well except for the supposed Sheffield accent ha ha

Very Enjoyable and enthralling
