Awful circumstances yet the story was good & well narrated too. Its late. Had to finish it.... So want to start the next one now!

The Next Girl by Carla Kovach. A Detective Gina Harte book The first in the series. A brilliant story which keeps you on edge all through the book right to the very end.
The narration by Tamsin Kennard was also very good so I must get the next one.

I absolutely loved this story! It kept me totally engrossed from start till finish! The only thing that drove me mad was the constant description of the detectives head cold. I didn’t see the point in discussing a cold in such detail all the time!

I found some of it hard to listen to, especially after Deborah gives birth & how it had effected her physically. It was so descriptive I felt sick listening to it (and I’ve been thru childbirth!!) but that’s probably a credit to the autor for being so detailed!

I would highly recommend this book. It’s well worth a read and will keep u guessing till the end!

I heard this story on Audible, while recovering from a virus, Absolutely loved it, I shall definitely be looking t the next book.
I do however wish authors would extend the ending, after following a really gripping story through endless chapters, authors should allow the reader to enjoy more of the crim being brought to justice, we deserve at least another chapter or two, of the detective and perpetrator in the interview room.
Excellent story.
