About this listen

The epic series from #1 bestselling global phenomenon author Sarah J. Maas continues with a stunning story of love, war, and revenge.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit.

One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must
decide whom to trust among the cunning and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

Why would you bring in a new narrator for the final book of this series after all the characters and the rhythm are established? The jolt is harsh. Jennifer Ikeda is fabulous and I am entirely disappointed with the change. Poor decision.

Where is Jennifer Ikeda?

I was really worried that the change of narrator after the second book would be really difficult to get used to and ruin the story, but I didn't find it a problem at all. Mainly down to the narrator's skill I suspect, as I felt the intonation she used throughout echoed the narration of the first two books, which helped massively. It felt like a pretty seamless change to me.

Good job by the narrator

This was a satisfying and appropriate end to one of my all time favourite series. It was never going to top A Court of Mist and Fury, which is one of the best books I have ever read, but I certainly came away feeling happy with how the story wrapped up. There are a few things I would have liked more of, certain characters and their development and relationships that could have been more thorough, and the action scenes were a bit long and excessive for me as I prefer the characters to the actual plot personally, but it was a 4 Star read.

A fitting end to a fantastic series

The pacing was great, the characters well developed and the narrative was immersive. Having read the entire Throne of Glass series it was off putting at first when i discovered this book was first person. I stuck with it snd I am glad I had done so (good choice to use Amanda Leigh Cobb for book 3). I am a lifelong fan of this author and her work so much so I actually might download her catewoman book which I wouldn't ordinarily choose. Give this author a chance and you will not be disappointed!

As expected from this incredible author
