As someone on the pursuit of a busy city career it’s easy to spend your life reading non fiction; listening to tales of how to be better, do better and achieve more... but it’s incredibly refreshing to read/ listen to something simple, innocent and light hearted.

No complex character development or scene setting, a little hidden message here and there but nothing deep, controversial or cleverly constructed. Just wholesome, warm hearted chick lit - it’s actually surprisingly good for the soul. I smiled, I giggled and I really felt happy and warm for the characters.

Giovanna is also really easy to listen to, her voice is calm and gently paced (if a little quiet at times!) but generally it was exactly what I was looking for to unwind over the Xmas break. Very happy customer!!

I absolutely LOVED this book. Perfect for xmas time. Gi's novels never fail to make me happy and relaxed. It is easy to love this collection of short stories regardless of whether or not you've read any of her books before.

However I think it is great to listen to after reading her other works - gives us a little extra of those characters we love.
