If only I’d known these things 20years ago!

This book really helped me connect the dots with errors and also things I had done right in the past when it comes to relationships and holding attraction!
Great case studies and references!

Chris helped me through a tricky situation and I’ve implemented some of these changes and turned things around. Just understanding these concepts gives me more confidence with dating and relationships.

Half good, half ridiculous

This is a mixed experience. The first half of the book as well as the parts of the second half that are based more on science than on the authors own experiences etc are good.
DO NOT follow what is in this book 100%, you won't keep a relationship for very long if you do. There is too much alpha male/broscience in this book, and many of the case studies are straight up ridiculous and unrealistic. Still, especially the first part (which deals with first impressions and seduction) was interesting and worth the listen. The second part (which deals with relationships) is a bit ridiculous

A true scientist's look on attracting women

I love self help audio books, but I'm also into the evidence based material rather than the spiritual or emotional lathered ones. It cites multiple studies on human psychology, economics, and evolution to show why women do what they do and why alpha males do what they do. Most importantly, it gives multiple hypothetical scenarios of men-women interactions to illustrate the ideas and make them easier to grasp. This is the other end of the spectrum compared to Way of the Superior Man, which describes human relationships in a spiritual way. Both are amazing books, but me being a scientist, I prefer the rational approach. I definitely recommend it for the thinking man.

From a woman's point of view

I like to see what a man thinks will attract a woman, so I bought this audiobook. Must admit, I loved Christopher's accent in the sample. As an older woman, I have to agree with most of this book. Many interesting points were made. Not so sure a woman will stray because the sex is not up to par. Pay attention. You may learn something you didn't know. Jackson Parker did a good job.

Learn to be a Man's Man

This book does an amazing job at quickly summarizing what other books take hours to do for individual topics. Best of all it has the science to support it. The book covers seduction, attraction, adult attachment, emotional intelligence, psychology, grooming, fashion, leadership, body language and sex.

Over the last four years I have read/heard well over 50 books on individual topics with many of them being upwards of 10 hours each. I have also read scientific case studies, visited online forums and seen hundreds of videos relating to leadership, communication, relationships, building attraction, seduction, getting over a break up, getting an ex back, relationships etc.

Simply put the book does a great job in condensing and explaining these various topics that I found in numerous books and media using simple terms and examples. I recommend hearing this book three to four times over as you will better understand the science and come to understand that each word or phrase is carefully crafted to give you valuable information.

Favorite Quote, "A man who fails with woman is a man who seeks out relationships to give his life meaning"

Disappointing.

Following this book will just keep you in the same cycle of anxious and avoidant behaviours that make up the majority of the people in the dating pool....and there's a reason those same people are all perpetually available and constantly in the dating pool. Spoiler alert....they're still in the dating pool because the "attraction" that comes from these behaviours doesn't last either.

I picked this book on a whim to see what information is out there for men. Having a degree in social and behavioural sciences and over 10 years of work in therapy leaves me extremely disappointed that people are being applying this information to their lives. This book is everything that is wrong with dating today.

About 1/3 of the information is correct and helpful. Basic, but valid. Take care of your self, groom yourself, smell good, dress well, etc. Behaviour wise, don't be too available, too pushy, too eager, too [insert anything]. Again, basic, but totally valid. And then some tips to boost confidence, assertiveness, etc. All helpful.

But there's also 1/3 of the book that, while factually correct, is completly misrepresented and used out of context. Laughable yet extremely sad that people will listen to these short term tricks and manipulations to encourage an unhealthy cycle of anxious/avoidant behaviour for the temporary spikes in "attraction".

Then the last 1/3 is information that is flat out incorrect. Do yourself a favor and go read Attached, Mating in Captivity, and How To Get The Guy (yes, guy, but it's an easy read/listen and actually helpful to both sexes. As a bonus, it will also give you some insite on what women are being taught).

This is the manual

This is a must for any guy looking to understand the basic laws of attraction and put them into practice; a culmination of the great works that came before it.

BORING!

monotonous reading and ridiculously short chapters, coupled with a simple point-> case study -> example makes for a laborious read at best. interesting points, but not much else.

Factually incorrect

This book woll teach you how to become an asshole. if that's a good thing, that's up to you. What does bother me is when facts are distorted or simply wrong. Propecia for instance does not reduce your total testosterone levels. It may in fact increase them. Only conversion to DHT is affected.

For those who have a victims mentality

Parts 1, and 2 of the book were relatively solid and I would listen to that portion again. Letting you know how being a “nice guy” is truly a facade and how being more direct and confident will get you further in both romantic and non romantic relationships. Part 3 of the book was too specific in the case studies and really was contradicting itself a lot. In short this book tells you to be confident, easy going, and to show minimal emotion. I think this book is more for the single man than men in a committed relationship even though there are many references to relationships throughout the book. I liked the first half of the book because It let you know how small tweaks in your presentation and attitude changes your outcomes. The second half of the book felt like It was a guide for men with their balls tucked between their legs who always play the victim.
