Summary

Laser-sharp zingers and out-of-this-world puns pile up at an astronomical pace in this zero gravitas sci-fi spoof from the author of Witches Be Crazy.

Never meddle with unidentified spying objects...

The year is: The Future. Mars and Earth are like that divorced couple who don’t exactly like each other but have at least stopped fighting in public. Floating somewhere in between them, amid all the garbage and Gene Roddenberry’s ashes, a transport vessel called the SS Jefferson is homeward bound. Its crew might have even made it on time for once, too...

Captain Cox is no stranger to encountering the odd pickle in space, but when a tantalizingly derelict ship crosses paths with the Jefferson, he unwittingly parks in the middle of a NASA-ty interplanetary squabble. Faced with a marauding Martian and a squad of snobby secret agents, Cox and crew embark on a mad scramble across the solar system, to save themselves from either murder-via-space rifle of imprisonment in the notorious Guantanamo Docking Bay. Maybe they’ll also get around to dealing with the biological weapon that accidentally wound up in their fridge, too.

Join Logan J. Hunder (Witches be Crazy) in this riotously funny send-up of spaceships and space exploration. Discover adventure, love, loss, gain, losing what was gained, gaining some of it back, and all the different ways the Outer Space Treaty can be violated.

Fun

This book was fun from start to finish. It is not a serious or life changing book, but is a great relaxing listen when life is too intense. If you enjoy space team, give this a listen.

Logan J. Hunder is one of my new favorite authors!

I eagerly anticipate any and all future work! I love the little touches such as random spontaneous alliteration and rhyming. It's really difficult to balance silly and clever without going too far in either direction and becoming goofy or tediously wordy he accomplishes that. MORE PLEASE!

Gave up at 1hr and 33 minutes

Hunder had to bring his politics into the story right off by writing about the assaasination of our currently sitting president. I was done at that point. I will be asking for my credit back... again.

Just so funny! I needed this book!

Ok so let me start by addressing some of the criticisms. Ok I get not liking politics in everything, but let’s be honest, writes have always been political... Shakespeare, Joyce, Vonnegut and Orson Scott Card to name but a few lol. Honestly, blue or red this book is hysterical! I feel badly for anyone who stopped listening just because they didn’t agree with it’s politics (honestly it was a very small part of the book to begin with). The situations created by the author are brilliantly funny! I could not get enough! The narrator was perfect, and voices spot on! If you are looking for something silly, creative, compelling and distracting in this crazy day look no further! This book is what the doctor ordered!

Decent story but not very original at all

Well told by the narrator but the story feels like a space team rip off with some firefly thrown in. Not original at all but still worth the listen.

More please

So much fun. It's really up there with some greats. Loved the over blown characters, done just right.

Very fun

An enjoyable easy to read irreverent space story. Not the greatest thing I've ever read but one of those books I'll end up reading multiple times.

I loved this book.

Story has just the right amount of sifi and whimsical discrimination. Narrator has it just right.
