About this listen

There are many people whose brains are considered to be "wired" differently. They think in different patterns and have different wants and needs from other people who are considered to have neurotypical brain thoughts and patterns. The different "brain wiring" has been classified as autistic spectrum disorder, schizotypal and schizoid disorders, and Asperger's syndrome.

This audiobook seeks to identify how people with schizoid personality disorder and Asperger's syndrome may process or think differently from others. The concepts can be also used and considered in those who have personality disorders such as OCPD. It seeks to bridge the gap between the behaviors that are different between neurotypicals and those on the spectrums. It seeks to draw out the patterns and to define the reasons that both sides struggle to understand and meet each other's needs.

I hope that this book will help those from both thinking patterns to better understand one another. I am writing this book as a neurotypical wife of a man on the spectrum and a mother of children with special needs. As an author, wellness coach, and mentor, I have learned through many experiences how to try to see the world through many other perspectives.

I have tried to write this book in a way that is friendly and direct for those who are on the spectrum, but please feel free to write to me at FlurriesOfSnow@gmail.com in order to clarify something if it is not written in a way that you are able to understand. The best thing that we can all do is seek to better understand each other if we are able to. It provides for improved relationships overall.

The first thing that I want to mention is that while this book is for schizoids, OCPDers, and those on the autism spectrum (Asperger's), I realize that there are minor differences in how schizoids think and process things as compared to how those with Asperger's may think.

Very aspie-centric. Obviously written from an NT perspective. Lots of concretes where there are shades. Some good points.

It’s just too brief, more like the Preface to an actual book. I’m some dissatisfied with this book.

Why is this essay “a book”
