I really enjoyed the story but I don't like the narrator's voice, his accent is weird

Managed to finish the book. Quite a lot of military terms which if you arent familiar with you'd probably struggle to finish it. I wasnt as thrilled with this book compared to other books like 'after it happened.' It would have gotten quite boring if the chapters didn't alter between soldiers and the young boy which stopped me from falling asleep. The young boys events seem more captivating if anything. Not a huge deal happened to keep me hooked and wanting to complete the next book
