About this listen

 Pretty Paul Parsons is a self-proclaimed schizophrenic, dyslexic, transsexual with Alzheimer's, who is currently working on a process by which he hopes to cure hemophilia with acupuncture. With all the coherence of a stark-raving lunatic, Pretty Paul Parson rants and roils his way through this "alternative to entertainment". These outrageous Appalachian aphorisms prove that no proclivity is too profane, preposterous, or depraved for the self-described "schizophrenic, dyslexic transsexual with Alzheimer’s". In a rare moment of clarity, Parsons offers up some clues as to the nature of his mindset, telling audiences, "I’m glad to say I never did abuse drugs. They did abuse the s*** out of me though". Combining Parson’s stand up sets with more, well, intimate studio recordings, An American Tragedy is sure to delight and disturb.
