For all of us ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME is a WELL TIMED GIFT.
Immediately , John’s warm, friendly, up beat voice caused me to imagine myself coerced out from the darkness into the light of a bright crackling bonfire revealing a wise old storyteller sat telling tales of Adventure. I imagined myself sat beneath the myriad of stars, surrounded by the mesmerising sounds of nature. Both were my companions sat around the glowing fire, curiously listening to the wisdom of the wise old man.
The fire gradually brightened as the storyteller introduced his many spiritual friends he had encountered on his own Adventure of a Lifetime. One by one they lit up the circle around the ever brightening fire. Each shared their depth of spiritual wisdom. All talked on the same theme of enlightenment, but offered a different lesson from their own unique perspective. These lessons are revealed in each chapter of AN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME.
I was encouraged to turn away from my fearful fight or flight amygdala perpetuating my worries for the world, to turn toward an adventure of a lifetime and fearlessly journey deeply within myself.
I’m firmly convinced that within this book’s recurring theme, if I listened to it over and over again, this would produce new neural pathways in my brain that will lovingly contribute to the collective healing of this planet. Imagine if we could eliminate the current outer physical world paradigm of lies, fear, mistrust, unhinged power, division, prejudice, hate, war, poverty, greed and grief, by taking that inner journey deep within ourselves on an ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME TOGETHER to finally eliminate the long historic ‘us and ‘them’ egotistic mind set that caused it all.
John and his friends thankfully offer tools to rise above this into a new loving paradigm, eliminating the hurts of the past and the worries of the future by encouraging us all to live in the present moment. Past and present cannot possibly exist in the eternal NOW!
We can adventure on a clear moment by moment path. Instead of carrying the heavy bricks of past and future weighing our haversack down, we can now travel light with our haversack carrying truth, understanding, reconciliation, inclusivity, kindness, compassion, love, joy, peace and gratitude to support us on our journey. Each step opens our senses to a growing realisation of a deep connection with all sentient beings, potentially integrating into one unconditional loving entity; transforming this chaotic world for the better.
