About this listen
How many times, when things go wrong, have you said to yourself 'Why me?' Some people seem to have more than their fair share of bad luck, and Kate Parker is one of them. So when Kate and her ten-year-old son Jack move to Oxford to start a new life, Kate is determined that events of the past will not come back to haunt them. Despite the suffocating support she receives from her overbearing in-laws, she starts to feel threatened. Somehow her comfortable family home doesn't feel quite safe - it's almost as though someone is watching them.
A chance meeting with a charming Oxford professor helps to convince her that she can overcome her fears, and that she and Jack can start to live a normal life once again. But just when she feels happier than she's felt in years, a shocking revelation blows all of their lives apart.
©2013 Louise Millar (P)2014 Audible, Inc.I enjoyed the story line; I found it difficult to predict. The last couple chapters are very twisty and lots of things come to light! Looking forward to the next book from this author :)

Would you consider the audio edition of Accidents Happen to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version, but the audio version has an intresting narator with discernible voices for each of the characters, but without being distracting or over theatricalWhat did you like best about this story?
It has the story from different characters view points throughout and though you may be loathing one character at one point, you find yourself sympathising with them the next.Which scene did you most enjoy?
the family confrontation scene is the most emotionally charged and engaging for me, though the run up to the ending is equally engaging, but I don't want to give anything away.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I think i did laugh out loud in some places in the book, i would say it is emotionally engaging, but doesn't overly wrench your emotions. everything is done on a nice even keel, but still involving you in each aspect without a roller-coaster effect.Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book, I actually had a night where i woke up with a sudden realisation of what someone was up to. It turned out to be wrong, but my stomach flipped over with what i had assumed. I felt for the characters! the ending surprised me too. a very unusual thing when CSI is usually solved part way through for me!An engaging and interesting Book
