Summary

Upon her grandmother's death, Izzy Fontaine finds herself in possession of a Wild Goose Chase pattern quilt that supposedly leads to a great treasure. A quilt, a secret message, a dog, and a possible treasure make for an unforgettable Christmas!

Of course, once the rest of the family finds out about the "treasure map," they're determined to have a go at the treasure themselves. And, if that weren't enough, Max Logan, a local museum curator, contacts Izzy and says that Grandma Isabella promised him the quilt. What is it about this quilt that makes everyone want it? Is Izzy on a wild goose chase of her own, or a journey that will lead her to the treasure her grandmother intended?

A great little Christmas listen

A light hearted Christmas tail, with a little mystery, but nothing as crass as murder.

There is a sweet little terrier in the story!

The characters are charming and it was fun that this story takes place around Christmastime. My favorite part of the story is the sweet terrier dog-he's so cute on the cover! This was a good story with a great message and I loved the love that Izzy obviously had for her late grandmother. However, I didn't quite feel as emotionally attached to the characters as I was in the first book (Beyond The Storm), perhaps because the characters weren't going thru any life-threatening scenarios this time. I think it would have been really neat if the book were just a little bit longer and included more about the history of the quilt, perhaps some journal articles or POV's from the women who worked on the quilt. I loved Stephanie Willis' narration. She has a nice voice a calm manner of reading that made for a really great listening experience.

Loved it!

What a fun little listen! I enjoyed this book very much. I thought the narration was great, the story itself wasn't lacking or draggy and had wonderful meaning. I would listen to it again.

Enjoyed the story very much.

This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, looking forward to the next one. I liked that the voices were different. In most other stories I’ve listened too the voices all sound the same. The story it told was exciting and had a great lesson in the end.

Sweet story

Romance and mystery as a family follows the clues left by the decreased grandmother.
A bit predictable, but sweet story of family, faith, and forgiveness.

a pleasant story

I prefer non-religious storytelling, but this was genuine and sweet. Romantic, involving characters I believed.
