About this listen

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs, read by Kirby Heyborne.

Includes a bonus PDF of haunting vintage photographs that accompanies the story!

Having defeated the monstrous threat that nearly destroyed the peculiar world, Jacob Portman is back where his story began, in Florida. Except now Miss Peregrine, Emma, and their peculiar friends are with him, and doing their best to blend in. But carefree days of beach visits and normalling lessons are soon interrupted by a discovery - a subterranean bunker that belonged to Jacob's grandfather, Abe.

Clues to Abe's double-life as a peculiar operative start to emerge, secrets long hidden in plain sight. And Jacob begins to learn about the dangerous legacy he has inherited - truths that were part of him long before he walked into Miss Peregrine's time loop.

Now, the stakes are higher than ever as Jacob and his friends are thrust into the untamed landscape of American peculiardom - a world with few ymbrynes, or rules - that none of them understand. New wonders, and dangers, await in this brilliant next chapter for Miss Peregrine's peculiar children. Their story is again fully illustrated by haunting vintage photographs, but with a striking addition for this all-new, multi-era American adventure - full colour.

Thought this was a trilogy so this was a pleasant surprise and my current favourite.

so deeply anticipated and so richly enjoyed

I can't wait until the next one comes out but there is no way of making an author hurry up.

it is an utter joy to be reunited with the cast of the original trilogy. I had assumed that the third book rounded off the story but I was wonderfully mistaken. the tour de force of creative writing bringing new layers to the peculiar universe knocked my socks off.

first read the original trilogy then round it off with this wonderful story which whets my appetite for more.

totally blown away!

absolutely loved this book, it had a different pace at the start to the rest of the series, but was delightful in its suspense and twists and turns. Great story, with exceptional description and narrative, which is helped along the way by the narrator, who is actually not bad at accents, even the trickier ones, it didn't take away or distract from the story at all. This book finishes on a cliffhanger, which left me on the edge of my seat wanting more. So far, this series has not let me down, it's exciting and thrilling and different from anything I have read previously, a unique story that keeps you guessing and surprised (in a good way) of what is happening. doesn't disappoint!
