Critic reviews

"This book captivated me. What a sassy, witty, delicious tale. Kitty Talbot is a fabulous, fearless heroine." (Sophie Kinsella, The Party Crasher)

"A thoroughly modern heroine with wit, style and energy…a formidable Austentacious talent." (Janice Hallett, The Appeal)

"Plucky, witty and bright, with one dainty slipper poised in the present and another one firmly rooted in the past. Readers of Jane Austen and fans of Bridgeton will swoon." (Nita Prose, author of The Maid)

The story is a little slow to start but as soon as Radcliffe entered the story the tale came alive. I enjoyed all the dialogue between the lord and ms talbot immensely and Elenor Tomlinsons interpretation had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.

Lord Radcliffe ..,,, swooooon

Not the type of book I would normally listen to but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrator was really good and it had a nice meandering story line. Nice relaxing listen. Highly recommend.
