About this listen

Having experienced his first survival type Trial, Trent Embra is eager to explore what else the world has to offer.

There is only one problem. Not everyone comes away from a month of constant fighting untouched. Trent's friend Tersa is unhinged by her time in the Land of the Undying Lord, and Sergeant Cullen means to see her fixed. Enlisted to help, Trent is dragged toward another Trial, mostly willingly. Only time will tell if Tersa still has a place in the Guard and what the Infinite World has in store for Trent.

Should be named "Why not to team up with females " seriously too stupid to walk and breathe at the same time.
well written and good humor!

Entertaining

This book is a brilliant continuation of the previous book, starting right where you left off. I liked that it focused more on a few characters rather than lots of different parties. One thing I wasn't so keen on was the final segment of the book and the garden trial. I'm hoping this is explained or resolved in the next book!

Still Great

I loved the first one, but I think the author truly messed up the story by going from a “clean slate” kind of story to another “chosen one”, which is everywhere. Still good writing though and the MC is still likable despite being the chosen one and having his path set out instead of being allowed to choose what he wanted to be.

Still Good, but Damn did it drop

I love all the characters and the story is still amazingly good but Tersa is such an annoying story element. It makes no sense. No 12 year old should be allowed to be this dumb and silly. The joke, if it is a joke, is way too played out. I hope she forgets about Trent and never return to the story. She is delusional for no reason and the actual well written characters just accept the literally worst travel companion and likes even tho she continues to stab them in the face.

Awesome story. - 1 star for Tersa.
