Summary

Life was simpler when someone was around to tell him what to do. With a band of Adventurers looking to him for direction, whether he likes it or not, Trent Embra needed to figure out how to lead them.

But how was he supposed to lead when there were so many things Trent hadn’t figured out for himself?

An unidentifiable seed in his Storage, and whispers in his head, Trent points his team west towards the wilds. It was as good a direction as any. Maybe in uncivilized lands, Trent would learn what it meant to be an Adventurer and sort through what mattered most.

Fantastic series

Fantastic series!
Got the first book for free with my membership and did not hold much hope for it but I’ve just blown through the whole series in no time at all could not stop listening! Devastated there is not more out, looking at the release dates of 3 books in 2020 and one in 2022 I hope we will see more soon. 10/10 amazing.

lost its way

After the first books this feels like a step backwards.
A lot of information along with new characters have all been introduced. but it feels at the expense of the main storyline.
not sure about future installments

Loved it

Unlike the previous books, I really have no complaints that made it hard to listen at times. The book was great all the way through and I only wish the next book was already available.

So glad I found this series and I can't wait to see what happens in future releases.

Interesting story and enjoyable to listen

I started to listen to the infinite world series just by chance, it is not a genre I usually listen to but I found the plot very interesting and was listening whenever I could.
It's informative and funny.
I'm waiting for the next book.

Just a filler

As the books before, the narrator is excellent. I actually prefer female narrators because I think male narrators make female voices so bad. But this narrator manages to differentiate between the genders, while keeping the voices pleasant.

The story is Good, but it doesn’t advance at all. I like slow book series, but this book(and the rest of the series), places too much time on small details. It can spend 10-15 minutes explaining the thoughts behind a characters actions. And not the MC actions, no this is just a side character.
Pretty sure the plot for the main character didn’t move forward until about 6-7 hours in.

As for the whole series, it’s good, no doubt about that. Love the concept. When the book actually moves forward, it’s great. No insane amount of stats, which some series fail at when it comes to audio.

The MC can be a bit too op and the kind who always knows best, but at least he isn’t the arrogant type(yet). Would love for him to be a bit more relatable by doing stuff wrong that isn’t immediately fixed but it’s not as bad as in others. There is something about LitRPGs that makes authors write all the MC as these flawless guys that just gets boring.

Overall, a kinda boring book in an otherwise great series. No idea what happens later or if it gets fixed. I feel asleep through most of it and had to listen to it repeatedly to get through the boring parts. It does have its amazing moments though.

another enjoyable adventure

as always this was well narrated by Tim. I found the story engaging but with the introduction of new characters it was a tiny bit disjointed at first. However, it was still story and funny at times too.

Best book in the serie after book 1

First book was excellent, second not as impressive, third OK, but now it’s back in business. Looking forward to next one!

we're is the action and adventure

seriously though I'm 8 hours or 10 hours and and there has been very little action or Adventure they've talked so much this book and nothing important has happened. it has been two day in world and it's taken 10 hours and nothing really has happen. I'm past halfway through the book and it Is frustrating to listen to it I'm thinking of stopping here.

We go west...just not this book.

The very beginning of this book feels out of placed and this book tries to smooth out the wrinkles that it created. Progress is made with other characters outside of Trent, but Trent somehow gains a weird and basically annoying ability that doesn't reveal anything to Trent just to drain loot. We left off book 3 that cliff hangs us that the next adventure will be West, but this book stalls that progress for a new character.

the story stalls out

the story completely stalls out.. then tries to fluff the story with pointless sidetracking. maybe the series uses this one to build on and it betters the series in the long run but pretty disappointed.

I keep waiting for this story to develop.

as I listen to more and more of the books in this series, one lingering thought remains. when is the story going to develop into more than just dungeon after dungeon. there are glimpses of a life outside of dungeons, but the main character just basically goes from dungeon to dungeon and all the small world building that is happening does not move the story on enough. I like the main character, I like several the as a matter of fact. but I'm getting bored with the wash, rinse and repeat of trial dungeons. this is book 4 and throughout the last three books there have been small glimpses of world building but they never have a payoff. The writer spends more time on the dungeons and almost nothing on anybody else in this world. which is getting very redundant. I'll probably listen to the next book, but if I'm not seeing anything besides dungeon after dungeon, it will probably be the last.

Disappointing Book in Series

I enjoyed the first two books in this series and looked forward to listening to this one. Unfortunately, it didn’t deliver. The author jumped to new characters without me seeing how they tied to the original characters and storyline. There was a lot of status statistics thrown in, which led me to believe them only to be filler words. There is a lot of alluding to a Great War coming and I figure that somehow Trent will be the one person to determine its outcome. Sigh. Too bad the editor didn’t ask this author to rewrite this book. Now I am no longer interested in the series.

This one is a dud

While I have enjoyed this series quite a lot, this installment left me disappointed.
There was considerable amount of time spent in character development, but the whole book felt like the characters were running in place.
I hope book 5 is much, much better.

85% filler.

I'm at chapter 28.. I've skipped 8 chapters so far. Filler and unnecessary side stories that ARENT funny... like what's up with that chick's literally 10 minute rant about hiring circus performers to get the dudes white clothes dirty???

Lineage 2

I find such a nostalgia to the game I use to play for many yars. The book is based on his adventures in the game Luneage 2. There is no doubt about it, but at the same time he added and changed things. Which is ok, he is the author of this adventure, but made it so much more complicated with the multiple classes and skills, that is hard to follow. Or maybe is hard for me to follow because I constantly make comparisons with the game. Anyway, I can’t wait for the future books, I hope he continues to right! There is so much content in the game.

I think they forgot a chapter

Was really enjoying the story, until it just kind of ended. Would have been 5 star if it weren’t for that.
