This is just common sense, say "please, "thank you" and "you're welcome ".

It's written as if teenage girls are idiots and has the tone of a stuffy teacher who loves to lecture. The author must really not like teenagers. Although the advice is said to be applicable in all circumstances, it does not reflect the challenges of modern etiquette and the need to know when to be polite and the need to be assertive, or indeed to set boundaries.

The narrator sounds like a dry old nun who has no sense of humour. To her defense she doesn't have much to work with. This text would be good to bore yourself to sleep with; if you wanted to have anxiety nightmares.
