The reading voice was a bit strange and i don't like the subtle body shaming and focus on how being thin is the only good option. Several times the writer mentions that the main character has to skip desert or something else she likes to eat cos of gaining weight. It's 2023, all bodies are good bodies and self love is so much more fun than only being focused on weight.

Cute story

Thought I'd give it a go. Other review states 'all bodies are good bodies', given the author mentioning characters watching their weight. Presumably the human body is not supposed to be rotund and unable to be moved around properly on its legs. Not sure how you can be 'happy' if you're 30st and can't stand up! Also obesity causes illness and heart attacks. wasn't going to mention this, but seeing as the subject got raised...

With regard to the book...it's not exactly Rendell or Christie. It's a bit like a story you'd read to the kids at bed time. A bit simplistic with not a lot happening to be honest. I reckon I'll write a book and get it published.
It's obviously not that hard if you can put together a reasonably grammatically correct English sentence.

Like that one.

Also, one last mention...just 'cause it's 2023, it's not ok to be a fatty. Stop eating processed food, get off the sofa, and get some exercise...like the lovely, attractive lady in the book!

Anyway, if you're not that bothered about plot complexity and character depth, then this is the book for you.
