The second book in a new series is always read with trepidation if the first one is really good. No need to worry here, this is a really good book and improves on what went before. Highly recommended.

Better than Black 13👍

Could have been a great book but if you have to decide between saving someone who has betrayed you or save millions of lives, I do not believe anyone would chose the person who betrayed you over saving millions of people. A very disappointing story that had so much potential.

not well thought through

Complete twaddle. Boring and with a complete lack of originality . Maybe written by an early AI ?

Couldn’t finish it

This book was a real struggle for me. The fact that it's over 134 chapters long partly explains why it feels more like a television series script than a novel. The writing is incredibly descriptive, often to the point of being tedious.
For instance, several sentences are dedicated to explaining how a minor character goes to a club and pulls into a car park that is dark and almost empty. These kinds of overly detailed descriptions just drag the story out to a point where you just want to skip to the next page and get to the "meat" of the story.
Unfortunately, the characters are not deep or relatable, which makes it hard to care what happens. While I think the subject and the central plot are good, the execution was lacking. I genuinely believe that if you were to put this novel into an AI and ask it to reduce it down to 75 chapters, you would probably end up with an exciting and readable book.
For me, it was one of those books I struggled to reach the end of and couldn’t wait for it to be over. It has, regrettably, put me off the author, Adam Hamdy. I read the first book in the series, Black 13, and I thought it was refreshingly different. It also suffered from some weak characters, but the extremely good and highly relevant plot made it a compelling read. Having now struggled through Red Wolves, I don't see myself buying the third book.

Quite disappointing
