THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Grand Admiral Thrawn faces the ultimate test of his loyalty to the Empire in this epic Star Wars novel from bestselling author Timothy Zahn.

"If I were to serve the Empire, you would command my allegiance."

Such was the promise Grand Admiral Thrawn made to Emperor Palpatine at their first meeting. Since then, Thrawn has been one of the Empire's most effective instruments, pursuing its enemies to the very edges of the known galaxy. But as keen a weapon as Thrawn has become, the Emperor dreams of something far more destructive.

Now, as Thrawn's TIE defender program is halted in favor of Director Krennic's secret Death Star project, he realizes that the balance of power in the Empire is measured by more than just military acumen or tactical efficiency. Even the greatest intellect can hardly compete with the power to annihilate entire planets.

As Thrawn works to secure his place in the Imperial hierarchy, his former protégé Eli Vanto returns with a dire warning about Thrawn's homeworld. Thrawn's mastery of strategy must guide him through an impossible choice: duty to the Chiss Ascendancy, or fealty to the Empire he has sworn to serve. Even if the right choice means committing treason...

Good, not great like previous 2.

Weakest of the new trilogy but should lead to more books on Thrawn. Greatest star wars character ever.

Two thumbs towards the stars!

Great listen👍👍
Doesn't get better than Timothy Zahn brought to vivid life by Marc Thompson. Awesome performance as usual, and especially enjoyed the Sean Connery accent on Admiral Saveet😊

Just Amazing.

The trilogy was amazing, the author done justice for all of the pre existing characters which can be hard to do and the narrator done a fabulous job giving personality to the characters. It felt true to the Star Wars universe and the sound effects even further enhanced the experience making it feel even more star warsy. I would highly recommend.

A great ending to a great trilogy

This book was just as good as the first book. The story is really good and a nice change of air after the second book.

The performance of Marc Thompson was good as always

Nearly as good as the first two books

This chapter of the saga was a little more predictable that previous chapters but still a great listen. First class performance!

A fantastic conclusion!

The culmination of 6 books of excellence!

Right from the start of the ascendancy trilogy I knew this would be a special saga, this book caps off what I'm calling in my head the Empire Trilogy and this book rounds it all off brilliantly right up to the events leading to Thrawns encounter on Lothal.

Great to see some old faces from the ascendancy in this book. though people who didn't listen to those first 3 may not realise the grand scale on which this saga has operated.

The performance was top notch and I feel only added to by the sound effects and music. it's one to listen to when you are giving it your full concentration unlike some others.
That said it does a brilliant job of pulling you in
