Really engaging story - but the narration is extremely odd. It has been read throughout in a gaspy, desperate, talking-through-her-teeth style of voice that makes it hard to just enjoy the story. It's almost like the way a tv reporter would speak whilst in the middle of a humanitarian disaster, describing the horrors she is currently witnessing. FOR THE ENTIRE AUDIOBOOK. I have never encountered a story narrated in this way. It's bizarre.
