Had a hairdresser with a six-month waiting list? There are people who don't chase clients; clients chase them. In a world of endless choices, why does this happen? Why do people queue up? Why do they pay more? Why will they book months in advance? Why are these people and products in such high demand?

However, an important and underreported conclusion of that study was that some experts do have real foresight.

Summary
Your road map to a seven-figure business...in one year or less
By cutting out the noise and providing a clear and proven plan, this road map helps even brand-new entrepreneurs make decisions quickly, get their product up for sale, and launch it to a crowd that is ready and waiting to buy.
This one-year plan will guide you through the three stages to your first $1 million:
The Grind (Months 0-4): This step-by-step plan will help you identify a winning product idea, target customers that are guaranteed to buy, secure funding, and take your first sale within your first four months.
The Growth (Months 5-8): Once you're in business, you will discover how to use cheap and effective advertising strategies to get your product to at least 25 sales per day, so you can prove you have a profitable business.
The Gold (Months 9-12): It's time to establish series of products available for sale, until you are averaging at least 100 sales per day, getting you closer to the million-dollar mark every single day.
Through his training sessions at Capitalism.com, Ryan Daniel Moran has helped new and experienced entrepreneurs launch scalable and sustainable online businesses. He's seen more than 100 entrepreneurs cross the seven-figure barrier, many of whom go on to sell their businesses.
If your goal is to be a full-time entrepreneur, get ready for one chaotic, stressful, and rewarding year. If you have the guts to complete it, you will be the proud owner of a million-dollar business and be in a position to call your own shots for life.

Largely aimed at people wishing to sell products
Overall a good enough listen with a few helpful ideas, but it's predominantly aimed at entrepreneurs wanting to find a physical product to sell, but don't particularly care what that product is.
It doesn't speak to other people, such as those wishing to earn their millions from being an artist, performer, sportsperson, or even offering some other kind of practical service.
That said, you can use a little abstract thought and apply some of the ideas into the above, but personally speaking, I prefer things to be more literal.

Good, but a Little Misleading
Ryan is a great story teller, which I am sure comes from learning doing his podcast.
The blueprint is pretty sound.
The problem is, and Ryan is not alone with this narrative, it about getting to $1M in SALES a year, not actual earnings.
Most businesses operate on thin margins, especially with physical products. So $1M in sales === ~ $40k in earnings.
Of course the real payout is if you can sell the business in 24-36 months for real capital.
You will still need to work about 3000-4000 hours a year. But most business owners do that anyway.
The thing I felt Ryan missed was breaking down cost of goods, support services, advertising & marketing, fees and taxes. Would have like more about actual numbers to lend more credibility to the plan.

Must read for anyone entering ecom
I wish I had this book several years ago. I’ve been selling “stuff” online for years and Ryan NAILS why my success has been mediocre at best. I’ve made a living but struggled to build a real, 7 figure business. I also have struggled with feeling unfulfilled.
A lot of people ask me how to sell online, from now on I’ll just send them to this book. Seriously. It’s that good. I don’t think you really need anything else.
Another note- I listen to a fair amount of marketing gurus and while their info can be great, they often focus heavily on service businesses. Ryan Moran is the Russell Brunson of physical products.
I’m well on my way in phase one, the grind! I’ll check back in 12 mos when my business is selling a million per year.

Made my $1m in 12 months, even in China
Followed Ryan’s approach, one product at a time, started from 04/2017, hit a lit more than $1m by 3/2018. Business did about $7m in revenue in 2018, over $1m/month in the beginning of 2019 before I left. Even, listener/follower from China can do this, maybe you can too?
Listened to all his podcasts since 2017, learned a ton. Been to 2019 Dallas CapCon, met Ryan in person, can’t express my great gratitude toward the help he has brought to me over the past 4 years, as a businessman, a leader, also a thought leader.
Would definitely recommend his book to people who are thinking about getting started. the Amazon game changed a lot for sure, building a business remains the same, his personal experiences and examples around him will help out a lot for sure.

Most Valuable Book I’ve Ever Read!!
The mindset shifts I have had throughout listening to this book are astounding. I am so jazzed up and ready to make some changes to the way I’ve been doing things in my business endeavors. Also, listening to Ryan read it himself is a whole other experience. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has to be an entrepreneur. I’ve read all the popular books like Rich dad poor dad, 4 hour work week, etc. and this one takes the cake. For mindset shifts as well as for actionable steps. Well done Ryan. Well done. 🙏🏼

It's good if you are trying to make a quick buck.
This book tells you how to reinvent products that are already on the market. Basically he wants you to rebrand things by asking customers what they did and didn't like about other products already on the market. There is no doubt that it would actually work, but it is a long shot. I feel like he and his buddy got lucky on a product (workout bars), had a ton of money to invest in other ventures, and started giving advice to other people how they did it. You know...like someone telling you their "system" on choosing a great stock....or picking the winning numbers on a lottery ticket. If you have no experience as an entrepreneur, this is not the book to start with.

One small idea for the whole book. Nothing interesting.
The idea is that you have to work hard for 12 month to earn a million and then you can relax 🤦♀️I bought it just because of Russell’s review, but it wasn’t worth my time.
Maybe for complete newcomers it’d be ok.

I wasn’t sure I will like it...
I’ll start by saying that Ryan has been one of my main ‘secret’ mentors through my own Entrepreneurial journey. I discovered his podcast about 3.5 years ago when I was just starting my first eCommerce brand. Right away I was hooked. His mindset, his views on life and his own well documented path really resonated with me. There was an unapologetic honesty about him and the messaging he was sharing with the world.
As much as I loved most of his content which I tirelessly consumed and implemented over the years, I honestly did not think I will like this book... I knew his 12 months to a million strategy very well and I was already past that initial explosive growth stage in my own business. I didn’t think I would get much value from reading the book since I have already lived through that process.
Still, after hearing some raving reviews from other entrepreneur friends, when my next Audible credit came in, I decided to give his book a try. I am so glad that I did, It captivated me right from the beginning. It was a truly inspirational read (or should I say listen) and at no point have I lost interest or felt that it wasn’t relevant to me. I thought I knew Ryan’s story very well, but the book provided so much more depth and perspective to his journey, which I still find extremely inspirational.
So if you are an entrepreneur or you feel a deeper calling inside of you to break out of the chains of a 9 to 5 life, it is definitely a must read! Thank you Ryan for enabling so many of us to get past our own head trash and fears and for providing a clear path to a more fulfilled life.
I still hope to meet you some day and shake your hand for helping me through my own struggles on the path to success.

almost zero useful content
it should tell you how to plan the next 12 months, but it can be replaced with a single a4 page with some instructions.
really, stay away from this waste of time.

A little shallow in content, doesn't go in depth
The book was helpful in some ways but ultimately missed the mark on a lot of the in depth content you'd expect to hear from someone trying to sell you their trade secrets. The book read more like a biography. The content also repeated itself throughout the book and was drawn out. I would have been more interested to hear about the start up or beginning stages of finding the right product as the author is clearly an Amazon FBA seller.

Loved the “side notes”! Great book!
Super informative. Easy listen. Things to implement today. I especially enjoyed the authors “side notes” that seemed to not be in the written book, but especially for the audio version. Great read!
