About this listen

Being a single parent is not anyone's first choice, but there I was.

Nobody can prepare you for the journey you are about to embark on, and it will look different for everyone. After a decade of trying to navigate this, I believe I can be of some assistance to others who are trying to cope.

Through this, I wish to make a humble attempt to be a guide. I intend to provide all kinds of support to all single moms struggling with:

  • The judgement we face as single parents
  • Establishing a routine to help with our daily, as I like to call it "hot mess"
  • Taking the high road when it comes to co-parenting (It is possible, I swear)
  • Dating? Yes, advice for the bittersweet journey of dating
  • Taking a look into how we can improve our financial situation
  • Most importantly, self-care! The key ingredient to being our best self

I gave this book to my younger sister, she is a single mom and has been for a few years now. Has it been tough?, of course, but one of the worse things she and all single moms have to go through is the “good opinions of other people”. (GOOP).

I think this well-produced audiobook will help any single mom who is finding life hard at the moment to stay mentally strong and overcome people’s negative opinions. This book is a ray of sunshine…

Ms. Witkowski does a wonderful job of telling the story of single moms and what they have to deal with. Always surround yourselves with positive people and supportive people! That is one theme of the book, which really is for everyone! I love the information about dating and being single, whether you should introduce the person to your child or not and if so, when. Lots of good information and advice for single moms.

I am not a single parent myself, but I was raised by a single mom and have close friends who are single moms so I was intrigued to read/listen to this book. This book has great tips for single mom in regards to finances, dating, co-parenting and more. Loved how relatable the author was and how she shared her own experiences as well! Overall a great short read that I would highly recommend to any single moms out there!
