Find the truth; risk everything. A gripping WWII spy novel full of intrigue and peril from a modern master.

1942: A German spy comes ashore on a desolate stretch of Lincolnshire beach. But he is hunted down by a young detective, Richard Prince. The secret services have need of a man like him... In occupied Europe, Denmark is a hotbed of problems for British intelligence. Rumours of a war-ending weapon being developed by the Germans are rife. Sent to Copenhagen, Prince is soon caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Dodging Gestapo agents, SS muscle and the danger of betrayal, his survival – and the war effort – hangs in the balance. Gripping and intense, Prince of Spies is the first in a new espionage series that will delight fans of Alan Furst, Philip Kerr and John le Carré. 20th Century Espionage Fiction Genre Fiction Historical Historical Fiction Military Spies & Politics Thriller & Suspense War & Military War Thriller

Really liked the story, but the narration was very distracting. The odd cadence and often strange intonation made me think that this was a text-to-speech app rather than a human reading.

Weird Narration

I enjoyed this book, so on the strength of this one I intend buying the next one in the series.

Extremely good for a free read.

Story, characters and plot are excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The narrator was excellent too.

Nice Spy Drama

The story is ok….not hugely thrilling and a little far-fetched, but I did feel compelled to finish it…the narration is pretty poor and lacking in variety and excitement. I don’t think I’ll be bothering with any more titles by this author…perhaps if it was narrated by Jonathan Keeble I might be thinking differently??

Dull narration

A quick read. Page turner. Liked the Scandinavian setting and the story from the middle of WW2.
Thought I was buying a book though, with a beginning middle and end.
This has a cliff-hanger end.

Enjoyable spy/war story
