 紅雲町珈琲屋こよみ第6弾。
北関東の小さな町で、珈琲豆と和食器の店「小蔵屋」を営むおばあさん、お草さん。
彼女の周囲にあたたかく描かれる人間の営み、日常にふと顔をのぞかせる闇が読む者を引き込む大人気シリーズ。
秋のある日、草のもとに旧友の初之輔から小包が届く。中身は彼の書いた短い小説に、絵を添えたものだった。
これをきっかけに初之輔と再会した草は、彼のために短編を活版印刷による小本に仕立て贈ることにした。そんな中、本作りを頼んだ印刷会社が個人データ流出事件に巻き込まれ、行き詰まる印刷会社を助けることに。その過程で、お草は印刷会社周辺の人々の過去に触れ、ある女性の死にまつわる〝不可解〟を解きほぐすことに……。
