Summary

40年前の若くして亡くなった川村さんの霊の仕業だとばかり思っていた、この大学内の怪奇現象は実は現在もあちこちで不可解な事象を引き起こし続けていた。
Mさんは一つのきっかけが次々と新たなエピソードに伝播していくことを興味深く思い、山田先生から教えてもらった金本先生のもとを訪ねてみることにした。金本先生は山田先生の同期のベテランの女性の先生で、オカルトにより詳しいとの前情報だったからだ。
ところが実際に話を聞いてみると、「全てが川村さんの霊の仕業なわけがないでしょう」と呆れられてしまったのだ。
確かに40年前のその出来事に前後して学内で心霊騒動は起きたが、すでに沈静化していること、そして、川村先生というよりこの学校の建っている土地にこそ所以があるのではないかということを語り始めた。
