北海道の人口3000人のまち、上川町に注目の酒蔵がある。上川大雪酒造だ。2017年、元・野村証券マンが三重県の酒蔵を移転させ、事実上の新規酒蔵を作った。“常識やぶり”だと業界は騒然となったが、北海道産酒米を100％使用する酒はクリアで飲みやすく評判を呼んだ。そこには上川町民の協力があり、蔵もまた町へ誘客効果や経済効果をもたらした。さらに帯広畜産大学内や函館高専など、教育機関と連携し、久しく酒蔵の途絶えたまちに次々と酒蔵を作った。本書は酒蔵を軸に農業、教育、産業に再生をもらたらす奇跡のストーリー。
