私は全国各地で講習会を行なっているが、いまさらのように「剣術は甘くない」という事を最近時折感じる。というのは、剣道や何か古流の剣術を学んだとかいう訳でもなく、ただ自分なりに竹刀や木刀で稽古している人の中に、ごくたまにではあるが、なかなか意表をつく間合いで打ち込んで来る人物がいるからである。 剣術における真剣勝負に関しては、坂本龍馬を斬った人物という事で有名な、直心影流の遣い手で京都見廻組の今井信郎が「免許とか目録とかいう人間達を切るのは素人を切るよりはるかに容易。剣術など習わないほうが安全」と子孫に言い残し（『坂本龍馬を斬った男』今井幸彦著）、また雖井蛙流の開祖深尾角馬ほどの名人でも「無手人（素人）あなどるべからず」と伝書に書き残している。(本文から)甲野善紀の「風の先､風の跡～ある武術研究者の日々の気づき」はこちらから→http://yakan-hiko.com/kono.html
