自分に与えられた条件のなかで、起こることすべてを受け入れて、誰にもその苦しみを理解してもらえないままに、ひとつの旅を終えた人に対して湧いてくる言葉は、嘉人のなかではひとつしかなかった。

そしていつか自分も人生を終えるときに、誰かが、誰でもいい、たった一人でもいいから、自分に対してそう言ってくれたら、自分の人生は報われるんじゃないか。そう思えた。
