I'm a budding writer from Manchester, England. Growing up, I had a bit of a rocky journey with feeling like I never quite fit in. I felt like I saw things differently and couldn't bring myself to just to conform to a group. It was tough, but I learned a lot from those experiences. I started writing what later turned into my first book when I was 12, primarily because I couldn't keep the perceptions I had on the world bottled up any longer. Writing down my thoughts and ideas was like therapy for me, a way to make sense of things. And when I shared them with a few mates, they found it helpful too. That's when I realised that my early struggles weren't just obstacles; they were tools I could use to help others through my writing. I'm on a mission to make a positive difference with my words, especially for those who feel out of place in this world, to show them they're not alone. My career has been all about helping people. I've worked in a psychiatric hospital, a probation hostel, a children's care home and SEN schools. All these experiences have given me a wider view of what people go through and have let me reach even more people with my message. I believe my angle and way of thinking is unique and I have found a way to harness that to truly help people in every walk of life for which I am extremely proud. I know what it's like to not feel heard or understood and I want to spread the word that if you feel the same, you should embrace that and not shy away and conform like we are so often taught to do. I hope my reading can help people truly be themselves in a world that is always trying to put us into boxes.
