Plamen Sivov was born in Sliven, Southern Bulgaria, in 1970. He graduated from an English Language School in his home town and has a university degree in Law. In the early 90’s he has specialized at the Institute for Policy Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in the USA. In the last two decades he has been working as a journalist, screenwriter, translator and manager in the non-profit sector. Plamen Sivov is a prolific singer-songwriter and is the author of many songs popular among the Bulgarians. He is the founding member of the Acoustic Project for New Urban Songs “Tochka BG” which performs in Bulgaria and Europe. His poetry has received many national rewards and has been published in periodicals and anthologies in English, Russian and Polish.
