Hello everyone! Welcome to my Amazon Author page. I am John P Noonan jr. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, now residing in Limerick Pa. I am a Jack of all trades, master of none. I started writing my books about 18 years ago. I wrote my first Book "A Bunny Thing Happened Today"about that time.
I wanted to write a rhyming book for small children, while including my children, Kevin and Kerri. They were the main characters along with my nephew Stephen, and my niece Brittany, all characters in the book. It sat on the shelf for about ten years along with my other book, "The Adventures of Ryan the Raindrop," written in 1997. Conventional publishing was just to expensive.
In 2012 I came across www.CreateSpace.com. This website is my claim to fame( at least in my head). Now it is 2014 I have 11 books published working on number 12. All of my books rhyme and are designed for adults to read to small children, older children to read, and adults to sneak away and read too.
That is because we adults still have that child stored in ourselves. I am just a regular guy, happily married to my lovely wife Patti, 3 wonderful children Kevin, Kerri and Ryan. Yes, you guessed who the Adventure series is named after. I am going to keep the adventure series about Ryan the Raindrop to get back to the basics of children's books again, with all the violence and evil pushed in our children's faces. To show children there is a lot of good still in this world and good lessons to learn. I want Ryan to grow to every child's super hero around the world.
I would like to thank Ellie Coghlan, as she has equally helped illustrate all of my Ryan the Raindrop Books. Without her drawings I would not be able to publish. Look for more rhyming books coming out. It is now 2014 and I took a break from children's books, and wrote my first 410 page novel called Starsouls.This science fiction story Starsouls, came to my thoughts on January 15th 2014, while staring at the moon and stars on my back porch.I felt it was a message from the stars as it filled my thoughts in every detail. I started writing this novel on that night, and finished on Father's day June 15th 2014.
I wrote a couple hours every night after work and family.I wrote Starsouls in six months exactly and typed the whole novel E.T. style, only typing with two index fingers.My son Ryan did all the graphic art work for my novel.I didn't know Ryan the raindrop was a graphic artist too. The novel is now available on Amazon.com books.
