Mark Elder is a London-based professional trader.
He was born in Birmingham and spent his formative years in London, where he enrolled in business school at the age of 18.
He moved to the United States at the age of 25 and worked as a bond trader in New York City. He has over three decades of investment experience, most recently as a portfolio manager and member of the Investment Committee at John McManaman's hedge fund, Doven Street LP.
Mark continues to trade, and he is a frequent speaker at conferences in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
When he is not writing or teaching, he enjoys following the markets, going on long hikes with his family, and drumming. His experience provided him with a unique perspective on the trading world.
