Lee Timms writes the BALES & CO financial crime thrillers, starring Peter “Bales” Bailey — an accountant with a knack for finding trouble — and Katie Taylor, who’s usually the one getting him out of it. When he’s not plotting fictional scams, Lee’s either cheering (or groaning) at Northampton Town FC or Northampton Saints RFC, or binge-watching “box sets” that no longer come in boxes. His movie tastes range from Jaws to The Shawshank Redemption, with a soft spot for Heat, Enough Said, and Something’s Gotta Give. On TV, he’s partial to The Wire, The Affair, and the whole Breaking Bad universe. A fan of Stephen King, Michael Connelly, and David Nicholls, Lee lives in Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire, with his partner Vanessa and their dog Luna. His two grown-up daughters, Ellie and Grace, are out in the world… hopefully avoiding financial crime.
