Introducing a new narrator to the series, Emily Adlard

Bales & Katie are back - America should have probably locked the doors.

Susan wants a divorce. More specifically, she wants the money her husband has quietly made disappear — and she's hiring forensic accountant Peter 'Bales' Bailey to find it. The job takes him and Katie across the Atlantic to Boston, Massachusetts.

Meanwhile, Katie is dealing with something closer to home. Something private. Something she'll have wrapped up before they take off— and that Bales will know absolutely nothing about.

In America, the case moves fast and then faster. What looks like a standard search for hidden assets becomes something much darker the deeper they go. Behind it lies a secret far more sinister than anything anyone had imagined — and far more dangerous than anything they were prepared for.

He was hired to find the money. They found something else entirely.

No Reconciliation — a sharp, darkly funny thriller where hidden money leads to very bad people and absolutely no good decisions. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, John Grisham and John Sandford.

I really enjoyed this story—it kept me guessing right the way through! The narrator did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of each character, and I really enjoyed the rhythm and tone of her voice. She brought the story to life beautifully and made it such an enjoyable listen.

This was not my usual genre but I'm so glad I gave it a go as I really enjoyed it! The story takes you in unpredictable directions and you get to meet a fab cast of characters. I was a big fan of Katie in particular.

I thoroughly enjoyed Adlard's narration. The characters were wonderfully done - you could tell each voice and accent was done with care. The pacing allowed you to really be taken along with the story. Would highly recommend!

The story is excellent - it kept me engaged and eager for more. The delivery by the reader was excellent, with brilliant timing and nuance. I couldn't wait to listen to the next chapter and now can't wait for next book. I really liked the narrator and felt connected and increasingly fond of the 2 main characters as the story progressed. Honestly on of the best books I've listened to - I'm going to look for more from Lee Timms as well as books read by Emily Adlard.

Spellbinding, intriguing, well-timed delivery

There's something to be said for stories about Brits in the US. They always make me smile. This audiobook hit the spot with that. The sarcastic subtext Vs the cheery directness in often threatening circumstances. The British cheek and bravado suddenly tempered with a smile and a gun. The narration really helped bring this to life, with accents from all over, and a polite delivery that was peppered with wonderful sweary outbursts. Like if Lovejoy crossed over with The Ozarks. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Beautifully British and wry

Pacy thriller roaming from Cambridge to Boston, LA and London, full of witty dialogue and razor sharp action. Found myself making excuses to be able to listen to just one more chapter: Timms storytelling delivered by a narrator that seems to naturally share his sense of humour and timing. Want to find out how Bails and Katy got here and what they will be up to next.

Entertaining thriller
