Larry Benjamin

Larry Benjamin

Larry considers himself less a writer than a wordsmith--an artist whose chosen medium is the written word rather than clay or paint or bronze. Larry is a writer of stories whose characters are determined to find their place in the world; if they cannot find a place, they make a place. Even when their lives aren't perfect, it's never because they're gay but because they're human. And like all humans they often suffer the consequences of ego and bad judgment. What Binds Us published by Carina Press is his first novel. He has recently completed Damaged Angels, a collection of short stories. His fiction has appeared in the STARBOOKS' anthologies: Dangerous Boys, Seduced, Big Boys, Little Lies, and Unforgettable. Larry was born in the Bronx (New York) to parents from St. Croix, U.S.V.I. He now lives in the East Falls section of Philadelphia with Stanley, his partner of 15 years, their two dogs, Coco and Toby, the ashes of his first dog, Channing, one of The Great Loves of his Life and more than two thousand books.
