Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Gary Dudney attended the University of Kansas and finished with a Master’s degree in English Literature. He spent four years in Poland as a Fulbright exchange lecturer before settling with his Polish wife on the Monterey Peninsula in California where he pursued a long career in test publishing. Regarding his fiction writing, Cries-at-Moon of the Kitchi-Kit sprang from his lifelong fascination with prehistoric Native American culture. His real passion, however, is running. He is a long time columnist for Ultrarunning magazine. He’s contributed articles to all the major running publications and has recently released his magnum opus on running, The Tao of Running. This book explores the mental and philosophical aspects of running, while it motivates and entertains. Learn to appreciate running for the awesome adventure that it is, learn to stay positive, be mindful, and find joy in even the toughest running spots.
