Emily Stone has a Ph.D. in psychology and trained in counselling. Formerly Lecturer in Psychology of Religion at King’s College, University of London and Adjunct Professor at the Union Institute, Cincinnati, she is now based at the University of London’s specialist theology and philosophy college, Heythrop College, Kensington, where she runs courses for the only MA in Psychology of Religion in the English-speaking world. Emily Stone is also a major author on Wicca and on contemporary Pagan spirituality. She has written numerous books for practitioners as well as academic research articles for international conferences, journals and academic publishers. She is a leading figure in the development of contemporary Wicca. With her husband, she founded the Wicca Study Group, a teaching organization that runs workshops and courses that have enabled thousands of people to learn about Wicca Emily has appeared on television in the UK, USA and continental Europe, and has made numerous radio broadcasts. She has written for the ‘Independent’ newspaper. She has been cited as a Wiccan expert in the ‘Washington Post’.
