Daniel helps high-functioning professionals tackle anxiety, stress, and burnout through evidence-based CBT, REBT and clinical hypnotherapy, delivered online across the UK and internationally.

He describes himself as mental health and wellbeing consultant. This covers a range of things, including consultancy, content delivery and strategic advice to mental health apps and websites; workshops and webinars to a variety of sectors (including corporate, hospitality, education and more), as well as his one-to-one psychotherapy, coaching, and clinical hypnotherapy practice.

He’s been working in the field of mental health and wellbeing since 2004 and has worked in private practice, private healthcare, occupational health, the NHS (where he specialised in pain control for Microvascular angina at the Royal Brompton Hospital) and for the Priory Bristol, where he not only saw people on a one-to-one basis, but also delivered bespoke group therapy programmes and was instrumental in the delivery of a canine therapy programme.

He holds an MSc in rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapy, a diploma in clinical hypnosis and another in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy. He also has a diploma in animal-assisted therapy (AAT) and a BA (Hons) in journalism and sociology.

A former full-time journalist, Daniel is very familiar with high-pressure work environments and the stress of multiple deadlines. He typically helps people presenting with anxiety disorders, all kinds of stress (including chronic and acute stress, work stress, and minority stress). He also helps people navigate burnout (both prevention and recovery), as well as adjustment disorders, dealing with uncertainty, and anger-management issues.

He even accidentally turned his previous dog Lara - a rescue from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home - into a semi-famous therapy dog. She appeared in several magazine and website articles of her own. His current dog, Nuala, has yet to be interviewed but is open to offers.

He is the author of the Four Thoughts That F*ck You Up . . . and how to fix them (Vermilion/Penguin Random House) and How to Cope with Almost Anything with Hypnotherapy (Green Tree/Bloomsbury).

Originally from London, he relocated to Bristol, but often finds himself in the forests of the Southwest of France, where the weather is warm, the views are wonderful, and nature (always essential to your mental health and wellbeing) is all around.

Daniel is a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD) which explains why he's so often surrounded by trees.
