Chris Monroe is an author, illustrator, and cartoonist who lives in Duluth, Minnesota. Her popular book series "Monkey With A Tool Belt" has been adapted into the Netflix series "Chico Bon Bon: Monkey With A Tool Belt." She is the author and illustrator of 12 books for children, as well as the creator of the comic strip "Violet Days, " which ran weekly for 22 years. She has illustrated for other authors including Kevin Kling, Janice Levy, and Jane Yolen. She shows her work in galleries and other spaces and loves spending time with her Chiweenie, Stevie Nicks.
