Carliss Maddox is an educator, author, poet, and community advocate based in Maryland. She has published three children’s books and a poetry collection, R.A.U.W., which explores themes of self‑awareness, sisterhood, relationships, and racial injustice. Her work also appears in Three‑Fifths Magazine. She is the founder of Carli & Company, a creative brand offering uplifting literature, inspirational blogs, and empowering apparel. Carliss holds degrees in Public Administration, Business, and Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration. Her storytelling is rooted in her experiences as an educator and the everyday moments that shape human connection. She is also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
