"To you, who from the tree of life pick the leaves and neglect the fruits…" - Carl Rees
Carl Rees is an award-winning author who was born and raised in Philadelphia and studied at the University of California-Berkeley where he gained a Master of Arts in Sociology with a postgraduate course in Sociology. He currently lives in New York, with his French wife Renè and their two children, where he works in public relations, journalism and communications.
As well as his day job, Carl teaches and writes as a side-line. He has so far completed several books on a variety of subjects, published in paperback form and also in audiobook versions, which are available through Audible.com but also on Amazon.com.
In his free time, Carl goes horseback riding with his family every Sunday at a friend's ranch. He also likes to play chess with his brother, is an avid of ancient history and philosophy, and enjoys taking care of his garden. He has a deep interest in the problems that autism causes to boys and new-born babies and is part of three US associations linked to the condition: Autism Society, Autism Speaks, and National Autism Association.
Carl has won several US literary awards including the Locus Award for Best Short Story, the Rea Award for Short Story, the Dos Passos Award, and the American Book Awards.
As far as the future is concerned, Carl would like to change the perspectives of thought of humanity especially in the new generation, by rediscovering the true values of life and using his experience in mass psychology and sociology to help anyone who wants it, even privately via email.
In addition he loves nature and challenges, which is why he tries to travel as often as he can. He has experienced a balloon flight in Cappadocia (Turkey). Takes regular safaris in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, and has seen the Northern Lights in the Svalbard Islands.
Carl Rees is happy to discuss with any of his listeners or readers: for this reason you can contact him at his email address: carlrees179@gmail.com
