Anthony Ward was born and raised in South Carolina and studied at the University of Atlanta, where he attained a degree in mathematics. He now lives in sunny Florida, with his partner and their two cats, working for a large biochemical company.
His book, Poker Math, was inspired after a visit to Las Vegas, where he witnessed a man losing more than $100,000 on a single hand of poker which Anthony knew he couldn’t win.
That encouraged him to look at the game with his mathematical eye and Poker Math was the result.
Anthony lives the quiet life, enjoying long walks, hanging out at the beach with friends, travelling when he gets the chance and occasionally joining in a game of poker as well.
