Anita Osasona is a Nigerian-Canadian author, fashion designer, and dreamer of worlds that blur the line between past and future. Her debut novel, The Unexpected Arrival, weaves themes of identity, resistance, and cosmic mystery into a cinematic sci-fi experience. With a background in design and a passion for storytelling, Anita crafts narratives that echo across generations, drawing from African heritage, diasporic memory, and questions of belonging. She believes that good fiction should not only entertain, but awaken something ancient in us. When she’s not writing, Anita runs DeLanie’s, a fashion brand known for its elegant, princess-inspired gowns and fashion training workshops. She lives in Ontario with her husband and two daughters, and can often be found sketching new ideas, exploring speculative fiction, or building worlds one sentence at a time.
