Althea P. Jones Author, Althea P. Jones, born 130 miles South of Chicago, currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Althea has been a great inspiration to the restoration of the 1936 Cadillac “Joy.” God inspired her to write this book based on seeing the vision her husband, Willie, painted for her. Althea welcomed the Godly response from individuals who saw the beauty of the car. This response gave her the idea to write “The Car That Went Bump Ditty Bump.” She declares “God gave me the correlation of the Beatitudes and Joy.” There is beauty, faith, respect, love, and patience wrapped up in this one antique car. Joy displays each of these characteristics. People see and feel joy when they are around her. Althea enjoys sharing the experience and wisdom she gained through helping with the restoration process. Restoring and driving this treasure, enabled her to be better equipped to share her love and wisdom for people and cars. Willie L. Jones is a native of Chicago Illinois. Willie moved to Las Vegas in 2003. He has always had a “Passion” for collecting and restoring antique cars. He wanted the one car that kept eluding him. It was his dream car, a 1936 Cadillac, 60 Series, 4 door Sedan. In 2002, Willie’s dream came true. Looking back on all the wonderful people who have touched Willie’s life during this process has not changed his mind that this 1936 Cadillac is no longer a PASSION but a “LABOR OF LOVE,” this is why she has the name “Joy.”
