Born in 1973 in Belgium to a French father and Belgian mother, Alexandre grew up with the end of the Cold War myths and the rapid rise of information technologies in our daily lives. From a young age, he was fascinated by the fields of espionage and security. It was in the shade of the apple trees in his grandparents' orchard where he devoured the works of Ian Fleming, Frederick Forsyth, Robert Ludlum, Graham Greene, Rudyard Kipling (and his marvelous 'Kim'), and even Paul-Loup Sulitzer (yes, indeed...). However, it was hidden under the covers, in the light of a flashlight, taking all risks against the priests hunting for subversive readings, that he discovered the one who would ultimately inspire him to write: Gérard de Villiers and his fabulous SAS series. Later, discovering the novels of John Le Carré cemented his certainty that one day he too would write espionage novels. After classical studies and a mystical tour of the Middle East, it was time to work. Fortunately, the internet was democratizing and becoming the sector his childhood friends were eyeing. Alexandre, always a technology enthusiast - he likes to say his first computer, a Dragon32, was his first digital best friend - made a more precise bet: his niche would be information system security. Thus began a career as a specialist in penetration testing, risk prevention, and governance. Alexandre advised numerous companies, worked in sensitive areas, and whispered in the ears of major political and economic leaders. His proximity to certain agencies specializing in security matters led him to mingle with many shadowy figures. However, when asked certain questions about this, he deflects: it's all still too fresh, he replies. In 2014, the urge to write was too strong to keep putting off. Alexandre L. became Alexandre Hos, an author close to his readers and reality. He likes to say he writes 'roman à clef,' meaning not things that are possible, but plausible. In 2016, his first novel 'Operation BrabanCIA' was released, which he defines as an 'espiolar': a spy novel with a thriller twist. Since then, about a dozen novels have confirmed his talent and fame.
