I'm a clinical psychologist, and I've been working with people who have serious mental illness for over 20 years. I'm in private practice in Chicago. Lately, I'm really excited about my book for families of people with bipolar disorder (obviously!), and ways to use pop culture and tech as tools in therapy. That could include video games, virtual reality, and using fandoms or fan fiction/fan art. Outside of therapy I love history, classic horror and superhero movies, and documentaries on neuroscience or space. I've acted as a media expert in articles for wellandgood.com, Huffpost, NBC.com, mic.com, and a few others, and got to ask a question on CNN during one of Joe Biden's town halls. I've recorded a few meditations and talks for Simple Habit. In September 2020, I'll co-hosting a podcast symposium on bipolar disorder on the Bi-Polar Girl podcast.
